Deployment Pipeline: trigger data refresh?

Is there anyway to trigger a data refresh with a deployment pipeline?

I'm going to different data sources so when it deploys I'd like it to refresh the data in the data set using the new connection.

Meta data updates and data refreshes are different things and should be kept separate. You can use Powershell or other tools to issue selective refresh requests for individual tables or partitions in your dataset.
