Date slicer type not visible in web power bi after published

Hello,

The date slicer type not showing the way it was earlier, It's clearly visible to toggle in Power BI Desktop but as I published it just disappeared although the clear option is visible.

It may be something else but just want to see if somebody is having the same issues.

Thanks

Hi @Mitsql,

From you description, in Power BI desktop, there is a drop down list for us to change slicer mode. But after publish to Power BI service, the drop down list disappears, right?

In Power BI service, we need to enter Edit Mode, then we can choose different mode type for slicer visuals. You can click Edit Report, then test again.

Thanks, @v-qiuyu-msft for the reply. I have tested it and it's working in edit mode, Is there a specific reason to allow it in edit mode only? It should be good if users can change without editing the reports...

Thanks,

Hi @Mitsql,

In Power BI desktop, we can edit and view report regardless who access the report. But in Power BI service, we distinguish edit ad view permission. Unfortunately, changing slicer type is only supported in edit mode.

For your requirement, you can submit a idea here
