Hello,
Since this morning we have been experiencing an issue where using the Refresh Now button for ad hoc refreshing results in no action other than "Preparing for refresh" quickly popping up them disappearing:
When checking the refresh history, there are no refresh events that occurred.
It seems that old scheduled refreshes are still working, but any new scheduled refreshes that are set do not run.
There does not seem to be any issues with our datasources as the scheduled refreshes and direct query reports are working.
We are currently refreshing reports on the PowerBI desktop and then publishing over the report that needs refreshing.
I have submitted a ticket with no reply so far, and have read about this issue occurring for many others in the past, but could not find a solid solution.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi @Anonymous
I suggest you try again later as the data will not refresh immediately, it will only do so when there are enough resources.
I find some artiale maybe helpful.
If it still doesn't work, consider wiping refresh history and the gateway log.

Hi @Anonymous
That does not seem normal.
Once you re-upload your PBIX can you not configure the scheduled refresh again?
And can you also confirm you are using the latest version of Power BI Desktop ?
Hi Gilbert. Thanks for replying.
We can configure the scheduled refresh. While the issue is occurring, the newly set refresh schedule gets ignored.
Yes, we are using the latest versions of PowerBI.
This issue seems to be intermittent as it has been popping up at random times.
