Dataflow with data lake refresh failed

Hi,
I cant refresh my dataflow when I'm using a workspace connected to my data lake account.
Here the message I see on the power bi refresh history page

Error: Data source credentials are missing or invalid. Please update the credentials for AzureDataLakeStorage in dataflow settings and try again.
Request ID: c872b228-7a85-cce4-42d3-5bd5f0ca2ec5

on the azure storage side, I can see all the files created, but the file.csv file is empty.
I just have 1 row which is the column header.
so what are the missing accesses?
thanks.

Hi @JeromeP ,

As the error message, Please update the credentials for AzureDataLakeStorage in dataflow settings and try again. You can refer to the online document.

Thanks Frank,

but I really dont know what are the missing permissions.

as I said, the dataflow is able to create the folders, create the files (model.json and the CSV matching the entity name)

the CSV file contains 1 row, which is the header row.

the problem occurs when the csv has to be populated.

so the service can access my data lake storage, can do anything it needs to do. until a certain point.

is there a way to get the access denied errors in Azure? maybe I'll be able to identify which account has a lack of access.

Thanks.

Jerome.

@JeromeP did you manage to solve this, and if yes, how? I'm running into the exact same error in the same circumstances, i.e. everything seems to work in the powerbi container until it's time to put the data in the CSVs (which were successfully created by the dataflow, as well as the model.json file). So I see the files in Azure Storage Explorer but they have no size and the refresh fails.

Edit: solved it as per this thread:
