Dataflow refresh
Hello,
I have set up dataflows. I have replaced them in desktop file, lineage depends on dataflow, but i was hoping that refreshing of dataflows will update linked tables in report. Am I something missing, do i need to refresh dataset also?

Hi @Anonymous ,
If you have replaced a data source in your Power BI Desktop file with a dataflow from the Power BI service, and the dataflow is being used as the source for one or more tables in your report, then refreshing the dataflow in the Power BI service should automatically update the linked tables in your report.
However, if the dataflow is not the direct source for the tables in your report, but is instead used as the source for another dataset (either in Power BI Desktop or the Power BI service), then you will need to refresh that dataset in order to see the updates in your report. This is because refreshing a dataflow only updates the data in the dataflow itself, and does not automatically refresh any datasets or reports that are based on that dataflow.
Additionally, if you have made any changes to the structure of the dataflow (e.g. added or removed columns), you will need to refresh the linked tables in your report in order to see those changes. This can be done by right-clicking on the table in the report and selecting "Refresh" from the context menu.
Overall, to ensure that your report is always up-to-date with the latest data from your dataflows, you will need to regularly refresh both the dataflow and any datasets that are based on that dataflow. This will ensure that the data in your report is always up-to-date and accurate.
