Dataflow preview load time

Hi guys!

I have few dataflows that pull from Oracle DB. I also want to transform the data here so the heavy lifting is done on Dataflow level, not on visual report level, I think that's a good approach. But there is a huge pain. Everytime I want to change something in the Dataflow I have to wait for it to load for very long time. Is there an option I'm missing regarding rows loaded or something?
I would be fine with just few rows being visible when I want to transform. And currently I have to wait almost 10 minutes to even start modyfing it.

You are missing nothing.  With the "Evaluating ..." Power BI is punishing you for changing the meta data.

If your initial query folds you can add an extremely harsh filter (say, top 10 rows),  and then do the other transforms.  But the general advice is "Don't change your meta data ever again, ever."

of course that advice is useless IRL.
