Does anybody else experience the following issue when working with dataflows within the Power BI service...
When I open a dataflow and click on a 'Transform file' query (created automatically when doing a combine of multiple files), Power Query then freezes somewhat and I'm unale to click onto any other query or setting. The only way to exit without losing changes is to click the 'x' at the top right which then gives me the option to Save or Discard. I then need to go back into the dataflow to do the next edits. Very frustrating and casuing a bit of a bottleneck when making changes.
I'm having this same dataflow custom function issue. Did you find a solution?
Hi @Anonymous ,
I think you need to ensure that your Power BI Desktop is up to date, as updates often include fixes for known issues.
If the issue is related to combining files with inconsistent columns, there’s a solution that involves modifying the Power Query steps to accommodate these differences. You can read this topic: Solved: An error occurred in the ‘Transform File’ query. E... - Microsoft Fabric Community
Sometimes, the freezing can occur due to resource-intensive operations. Reviewing and optimizing your queries for performance might help.

Hi @Anonymous
As stated in the title (and the board the post is in), the issue is occuring within a dataflow on the Power BI web service and not on Power BI desktop.
