Dataflow - Failed to analyze issues in the query

Whilst saving a dataflow the error Dataflow - Failed to analyze issues in the query appears and does not let me save or keep my work or anything. The problem seems to be sporadic and related to the size of data (largestg table are below 2.6 M rows).
I dont want to think this is a MS Trick to force us to buy Fabric, as these size of data used to be perfectly managed by standard Pro licensing!!!

Hi @Dataplumber Could you try splitting the load to multiple Dataflows maybe and try to push transformations to source as much as possible if applicable

Hello @Dataplumber ,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

The issue you’re experiencing with saving the dataflow is likely due to query complexity, dependencies, or data size limitations in Power BI Pro. Based on my understanding, following these steps should help resolve the issue.

  1. Manually refresh linked tables in Manage Connections to ensure they load correctly. If any linked tables fail, reload them in their original dataflows first.
  2. Use Query Dependencies in Power Query to identify any broken or circular references.
  3. Minimize the use of computed tables that depend on linked tables and avoid creating excessive dependencies between dataflows.
  4. Disable all queries except one, attempt to save, and then re-enable them one by one to identify the problematic query.
  5. Apply filters to large tables to reduce data volume and test saving again to determine if size is the issue.
  6. Copy queries individually into a new dataflow to isolate and pinpoint the cause of the error.
