Dataflow Blank Report

Hi all!

Question about dataflow. So I tested and noticed that when dataflow refresh fails, the report that uses it goes blank rigth away. While if usual PBI dataset refresh fails, the report still has data, just not new.

Is there a way I can make sure my dataflow report still has data after dataflow refresh failure?

Thank you!

Alina

Hi @Anonymous ,

There're full refresh and recremental refresh in dataflow refresh mode, you might take try of incremental refresh instead, that if the refresh failed in the specific timestamps, old records will exist until the next success.

Official document referred to:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-dataflows-incremental-refresh

If it still doesn't meet your requirement, please raise your issue to support team: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/

Thank you for response Dina.

The problem actually happens when incremental refresh fails.

I was imitating a situation when one of the tables refresh will fail by setting up inceremtal refresh.

Once it fails, the report that uses this dataflow went blank.

I'll raise to support team per your advice.

Thank you!

Alina
