Data updated date at top of service not updating when using DirectQuery

Hello,

My data model is set to DirectQuery. The Data Updated date at the top of the Service (circled in red in the picture) is showing up as the date that I last published this report. But it is using DirectQuery, so it is constantly being updated. How can I get this Data Updated date to refresh to today's date?

Thanks!

hi @esther21179 - I have tried to replicate the same scenario but I do not see the data refresh time (the 06012021 is part of my report name) when I am connected via DirectQuery - if this is still a challenge then I would recommend that you create a measure with the latest refresh time and display it on the report and educate the users on the same.

Hi @esther21179

Just to further clarify that the date at the top is the time the dataset was refreshed. When using DQ there is no dataset and that is why it is not updating.

I would suggest using @Sumanth_23 method with a measure to show the latest data.

Is there a way to turn this off? One of my reports has this date at the top and one of them does not, so it must be a setting somewhere. Where is that setting?
