Data source error (ODBC)

Hello

I have a report that fetches data via ODBC (System DSN) to AS400.  I am able to refresh without any problem on the Power BI desktop.  However, it fails to refresh on the web platform of Power BI (https://app.powerbi.com/).

I am getting this error:

Spoiler
  • Data source error{"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","pbi.error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","parameters":{},"details":[{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorCode","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorMessage","detail":{"type":1,"value":"ODBC: ERROR [42S02] [IBM][System i Access ODBC Driver][DB2 for i5/OS]SQL0204 - AVLQTY in *LIBL type *N not found."}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingHResult","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.DataSourceKind","detail":{"type":1,"value":"Odbc"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.DataSourcePath","detail":{"type":1,"value":"dsn=AS400 - Production"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.OdbcErrors","detail":{"type":1,"value":"#table({\"SQLState\", \"NativeError\", \"Message\"}, {})"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.Reason","detail":{"type":1,"value":"DataSource.Error"}}],"exceptionCulprit":1}}} Table: FP Physical & Unallocated.

It is the same connector on both side.

thanks

Gavin

Hi there

It looks like the ODBC drivers is not correct installed on your Gateway Server with the error "DB2 for i5/OS]SQL0204 - AVLQTY in *LIBL type *N not found."

I would suggest asking someone to assist you with the installation on the Gateway server.
