Data refresh from cloud data source deletes data from model

Good afternoon!

The model I have hosted on my organization's Power BI Service has two data sources: a csv file and an xlsx file, unioned together using Power BI Desktop's 'Append Queries' function. Both files are hosted in a cloud storage service (Box). I was able to connect to both files successfully in Power BI Desktop using the following syntax in the Power Query editor:

For the xlsx file:
= Excel.Workbook(Web.Contents("https://companyboxurl/boxfile.xlsx"), null, true)

For the csv file:

= Csv.Document(Web.Contents("https://companyboxurl/boxfile.csv"),[Delimiter=",", Columns=8, Encoding=1252, QuoteStyle=QuoteStyle.None])

I am able to successfully refresh both files from Power BI desktop without issue. However, when I upload the model and dataset to the Power BI Service, the data in the csv file gets wiped out whenever I refresh, removed from the model completely.

The strange thing is that the xlsx file refreshes from the Service without issue. I can tell because there's a visualization in the model that contains the data from the unioned dataset I referenced earlier, and the data in the xlsx file is there while the data from the csv file is gone.

Something strange is happening with the Service refresh process, and I'm hoping someone here can shed some light on it.

Thank you in advance!
