I am looking over previous post but not seeing a solution or just over looking. I have one workspace with multiple reports and semantic models refreshing from a DB along with a few reports refreshing from am excel file on one drive, no issues with these reports or refreshing anything. I created a new report in power bi desktop using same DB along with one new excel file saved on one drive, I had to change the source for the excel file because it was originally saved on a cloud drive. The power bi desktop report refreshes no problem, however when I publish (i created a new workspace for this report) I get the error, your report was published but is disconnected. I've gone to the model settings for the report but do not know how to fix it? I am in week two working in power bi, so still a novice on everything.

Hi @jland47
As Ibendlin said, this is not an error message.
You need to configure an on-premises gateway to act as a bridge between local data sources and services in the Microsoft cloud.
Please refer to these link to configure the gateway:
What is an on-premises data gateway? | Microsoft Learn
Install an on-premises data gateway | Microsoft Learn
Add or remove a gateway data source - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

That is not an error message. That is advice to you that if you want scheduled refresh you need to update credentials (and map the gateway if required by your data sources). Go to the settings page as instructed, and update the credentials.
Well, I tried all kind of things with the one drive file and couldn't get it to work. What did work was resaving the file in Sharepoint and making a connection through there, first time ever doing this so....
