Data Source Has No Credentials and I can't Update Online

Issue: Data source will not update in Power BI Web Service. I get an error saying that the data source has no credentials.

Reading threads here on the forum it seems that the credentials get stripped from the report when it is uploaded. However when I go to the "Schedule Refresh" page for the data source, the Data Source Connection section is greyed out and I cannot access it/open it.

The report connects to an Azure database, I shouldn't need a gateway. Any ideas?

Hi @daffodil_chick,

First, you need to update your gateway to the latest version. And confirm that you sign in gateway successfully as well as the data source are added in data gateway. Then check if you can edit your data source credentials.

@daffodil_chick Azure Iaas, or Paas/Saas? Iaas behaves just like a VM on premises and requires a gateway, in which case you would need to update the gateway as the error implies.
