Data Refresh Failure. An error occurred while processing the data in the dataset.

Hi Team,

 

I have my back end data in excel. I sheduled refresh for the dataset two times a day. Scheduled refreshes were running successful for some days. The server is turned on and connected to internent all the time. However,  now I am getting the following refresh failure messages for all the datasets.

 

An error occurred while processing the data in the dataset.

Refresh failed:

PBI_Report_Name has failed to refresh.
Failure details: The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error. This is usually a transient issue. If you try again later and still see this message, contact support.

How do I resolve this ? Kindly help.

Does this issue have been resolved?Could you please provide more details about it If it still not be resolved? Please don't contain any Confidential Information or Real data in your reply.

Hi @Jos13 ,

 

It seems that the gateway cannot access the data source because network or credential, could you please check if you can access the data source  from the machine of gateway by using the same credential?

Seems like a Service interruption. You could check the Issues forum here:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues

And if it is not there, then you could post it.

If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".
