Hello all,
I had a report uploaded to the service that was working and refreshing just fine yesterday. I made some changes to the report and I now get an error message when I try to refresh the data. It says it cannot find a specific column in the table. When I look at my report on my desktop, that column is there. The column is not being used for anything. I attempted removing it and refreshing the data on the service again and I still get the same error.
I have also received the error that it cannot connect to the mashup data source.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Regards
Hi @mmakhlo
I have not tried this myself but maybe what you could do, is to go into the Datasets and for your dataset, change it from your Gateway to Connect Directly.
Then upload your file and then go back and change it back to your Gateway, and see if that works.
One last other idea, if the above does not work is to restart the PC or Server where the Gateway is installed?
The easiest solution - not necessarily the best solution - is to give your redesigned report a new name and upload it fresh (not refresh). This side steps the upload/refresh compatibility issue.
That in turn will cause dashboard re-creation which could be a huge headache, and why I say it is not necessarily the best solution depending on where you are in all this. If you are early in the design & set up then this may be no big deal.
If you've got alot of dependancies with dashboards then you're best returning to original report design and taking things slowly - testing along the way to see what it is that is throwing it off.
