I have many dashboards sent in the morning for the prior day numbers, using a relative date filter on the common DatesMaster table.
Maybe 1 time out of 10, a dashboard will go out for the date two days prior instead of one day prior.
I have not noticed a pattern when this occurs, and it is happening to Dashboards sourced from different semantic models.
Has anyone dealt with this, or knows of a solution?
Hi, @beanboy
As @skygold16 said, Check your data type and time zone settings. Make sure that the data type of the field in the DatesMaster table is set to Date and not text. If you set the field to text, the relative date option will not display correctly. Also, keep in mind that Power BI models don't include time zone information, and everything is based on UTC time
Data refresh times can also cause inconsistencies. Make sure that the data refresh schedule is set up correctly so that the data is updated before the dashboard is sent. This may involve adjusting the scheduled refresh time in the Power BI service to account for any delays or time zone differences.
Double-check the configuration of the relative date filter to ensure that it is set up correctly to meet your needs. Specifically, see how to define filters based on relative date ranges (for example, the last 1 day). For more information on setting up relative date filters, refer to this document:

Hi @beanboy ,
I have noticed that the datetime value refers to the UTC time when in the service. You can possibly use a card and check what datevalue your relative datetime column is generating in the Power BI service and potentially that could be an issue.
