Hey guys,
after some testing I finally found the cause for the display errors I get in the service. In my reports I included some custom visuals. In PowerBI Desktop the data refresh works without any problem. Uploading the report into the service also doesn't cause any issues. As soon as the service refreshes the ddata however, I got the followiing display error on some report pages:
Couldn't retrieve the data for this visual. Please try again later.
Weirdly, the error doesn't occur on the same report page as the custom visual is in, but always on other ones. After removing the report pages with custom visuals, these errors don't occur anymore.
Just wanted to share this with you, as it caused me a huge headache over the past couple days.
Best,
Sebastian
P.S.: Do you also get a 404 error when trying to submit a support ticket? 🙂
@sguenther I would raise a ticket for this or use Send a Frown from powerbi and let Microsoft know.
