Create dataflow from existing Dataset for a report

I'm looking to create some DataFlows and want to use existing data madels in a dataset. How do I do this??

Hi @wrs007 

You can't create a Dataflow from a Dataset. You can create a Dataset from a Dataflow though.

Hi @wrs007 ,

If I understand correctly, the issue is that you want to create dataflow from existing dataset. Please try the following methods and check if they can solve your problem:

1.Open the Power BI service and navigate to the workspace where the dataset is located.

 

2.Click on the Create button and select Dataflow.

3.In the add new entities screen, select the data source that you want to use for the dataflow.

4.Select the Add new tables.

 

5.In the Power Query, select New sources or click on the new source button and select blank query.

6.After setting up all the entities and transformations, save the dataflow and give it a name.

You can't create a Dataflow from a Dataset. You can create a Dataset from a Dataflow though.
