Copy visual as image

Hi,

When i copy a report visual as image on to clipboard from power bi service and paste it to teams it comes perfectly.  But when i paste it to whatsapp app on mac it always pastes as text. 

Is this a known issue wherein it works only in certain apps?

Hi, @ramanathans 

Please make sure that the application has no limited support for pasting HTML-formatted content from the clipboard. There are some limitations around copy visual as an image, including:

• For custom visuals
  • Visuals with applied themes and colors
  • Tile scaling when pasting
  • Custom visuals with animations
• Copying constraints
  • Cannot copy a freshly pinned dashboard tile
  • Cannot redirect users to content with Odata filters and sticky states such as personal bookmarks
• Applications with limited support for pasting HTML-formatted content from the clipboard may not render everything that was copied from the visual

In Teams and Word you get the visual (as an image), the link, and the list of applied filters. In PowerPoint you just get the visual's image.  In non-Microsoft apps you get the link and the list of filters. I think that's reasonable.

Correction - in PowerPoint you get two blobs, one with the picture and one with the meta data. it was just hidden behind the picture blob.
