Hello everyone!
I have some pbix files located at sharepoint folders. The datasets are all connected with my Power BI app using the OneDrive updating system, all linked to these pbix files.
When I change something in the PBIX file, it automatically changes when the App is updated.
The problem is that some of my connections get lost, and I can't find another solution instead of creating a new dataset / connection with a new folder.
I am not changing any access settings to the sharepoint, and I cant find any similarity between the cases. It appears to be a random behavior.
The message I get is: "It appears that your access to this file on onedrive for business has been blocked".
I have thousands of accesses to some of my reports, and I cant change the links everytime I get this random errors.
Could you help me?
You may need to contact support, but I am not sure the OneDrive method is the recommended method for publishing. I only use it in testing, never in production, and in 5+ years, I've never had an issue in production with some link getting lost. The model is in the service, and it works. I'm not relying on a daisy chain of service to permission for OneDrive to SharePoint storage (ODfB is really SharePoint) for reports.
DAX is for Analysis. Power Query is for Data Modeling
