While my datasets are refreshing and completing, the linked sources (Analysis Services and/or SQL Server) have a connection status of "Unable to connect".
The workspace was created by someone else, and checking the detailed connection settings would require me to take over the settings (cannot do this right now).
Does anyone know what exactly a workspace data source displaying "Unable to connect" means entirely? Azure resources show these linked Analysis Services and SQL servers as online.
If I look at my reports, the last date for data is June 1st - this is what lead me to check the path of the report and see if there are any issues.
Any assistance is appreciated.
Please see this screenshot:
In Azure I can connect and see the models of AS, and with SQL Management Studio I can connect up and see data as of today. There might be a disconnect somewhere between what SQL has, and what AS is loading.
In SQL Management Studio, I have also been able to connect to the Analysis Service, and the schema is showing up in there as well.
Hi @S4CSurrey ,
Since I can't reproduce your issue. I would recommend you open a support ticket on the support.powerbi.com site.
