Connection of a report to a pbix at Sharepoint - some questions

Hey!

There is a feature in PBI Service when I link a report to a pbix stored at Sharepoint and every time I update the pbix the report updates automatically so I don't have to use Publish button in PBI Desktop. I wonder whether the data updates as well in that case or not? Or only the content (visuals, model)? For example, if I have incremental refresh in the file and use the above mentioned feature (link report directly to a pbix stored at Sharepoint) will all the partitions will be created from scratch or they will be preserved?

Hi. The feature of browsing from sharepoint or onedrive works exactly like publishing from Desktop. It creates a dataset and a report. If you want a refresh of the dataset you need to configure credentials for cloud sources or install a gateway and configure sources for on premise sources.

The way incremental refresh works it refresh all partitions a whole refresh each time the report is imported or published.
