Hi PowerBI Experts,
I am currently using a composite dataset (C), 1 dataset (B) in my model which has RLS security model in place. I found that my users are not able to view/extract the data from my dataset when they dont have RLS access to the connected dataset. In dataset (C) I have connection to data from excel and other DB's. My dataset C does not have any RLS and had provided all the access to the dataset.
Would like to know if anyone faced the same issue. Where users to dataset C is not able to view as they do not have access to dataset B. If yes what is the workaround or solution to this security model?
Thank you.
Regards,
Boon Wee
Hi@boonweelow,
I'm wondering if you are using static RLS to restrict access to a given user, please refer to this link to see if it solves your problem.

With this method, you need to make sure that your Power BI model has a relationship set up properly. Otherwise, people might see other table’s data when there is no relationship between their profile table to those tables. Dynamic row level security is highly dependent on your data model, so keep your data model right.
Hope it helps.
