Combining multiple files in DataFlow

Hi, I am trying to combine multiple Xml files with DataFlow and I do not want to use the 'Combine' feature (shown in the snapshot) as this will cause other issues down the track and I am looking for a more robust way. Do you have any idea how to deal with this?
