Changing data source from one type to another in Power BI desktop

Hello All,

 

I have used Netezza ODBC with custom query as a data source in Power BI desktop and created a report. Now my organisation wants to replace it with Azure Databricks native connection type in Power BI desktop. Is it possible to change Netezza ODBC data source to Azure databricks for existing report? I dont want to start it from scratch.

    Sort of.  It is possible to swap sources if and only if the final result of your Power Query transforms is EXACTLY the same.  If there is even the tiniest of differences you will lose your measures, groups, and sorting tied to that table.

     

    Making a backup before you attempt that is highly recommended.
