Change Dataset location in powerBI cloud APP (app.powerbi.com)
Hi there,
please I have a dataset that fetches data from an xlsx file in onedrive and then generates a report that I created in powerBI cloud APP (https://app.powerbi.com/), I would like to change it's location to a shared network, and then link the file to the existing dataset, I couldn't find a way change the data source in my dataset, currently the file is located in my local laptop, any ideas how I can achieve this,
Thank you.

Hello again @Hariharan_R ,
thanks again for the valuable support, unfortunately, the report was created directly on powerBI service, so we couldn't generate the PBIX file source file,we created a dataset from the xlsx file in onedrive and created the report from scratch in PBI service.

Hi,
If you have't created any parameter to hold the xlsx file path then you can't change directly on app.powerbi.com. You need to open the file in Power BI desktop and update the file path and publish it again.
As you will be referring the shared network, you need to make sure you configure the data gateway to access the xlsx file from app.powerbi.com
Thanks
Hari

Hi @AnouarBen
As a first step, you need your PBIX source file. if you are not able to download from app.powerbi.com then you might have stored in your local or reach the person who created. You can change the file path to something different when you have PBIX file opened in Power BI Desktop.
Thanks
Hari
