Hi,
I want to schedule a regular refresh for my dashboard but my excel file (saved on a company sharepoint) is considered a 'dynamic data source'.
I don't know why it is (it doesn't have any external data connections) but I am looking for a workaround.

Hi @Anonymous ,
I am not sure what you mean by a "dynamic Excel sheet"? If the columns are not changing and only the data is changing then that would be a normal situation. To connect to that sheet from the Service you will need to set up a gateway to get to the Excel sheet within SharePoint. Then, your report can use that as the connection and it will refresh.

Yes, I realised I had imported my excel sheet instead of setting up a data connection. Now i'm re-building the report with this connection.
Or is there a faster way through a data gateway?
Hey @Anonymous ,
I don't know about "faster" but if yo uwant to refresh it automatically you will have to use your gateway in the Service. And, the data source that uses the gateway will have to have a connection to that Excel file.
