We recently added new capacity so now we have 2 capacities 1P1 and 2P1.
We have a dashboard in the fabric capacity usage metrics app that has all the information about the data usage and capacity units consumption. I also extract the fabric capacity usage metrics dataset and data model (that supports the dashboards) using a python script and DAX.
I have a problem because I don't see any data about the new capacity, 2P1 in the data that I extract and in the data model's MetricsByItemandOperationandDay table. I do see a mention of 2P1 in the Capacities table of the data model, I also see items linked to it in the 'Items' table but nothing in the MetricsByItemandOperationandDay or MetricsByItemandOperation tables.
I also see the metrics about the 2nd capacity in the fabric capacity usage metrics app dashboard but I don't know where the data is coming from.
Please help me find the usage data for the 2nd capacity.
Hi @ameya1 ,
Please try below steps:
Review Capacity Metrics App Configuration: Double-check the configuration settings within the Fabric Capacity Metrics app to ensure that it's set up to display data for all capacities, including your new 2P1 capacity. There might be filters or settings that are excluding the new capacity from being fully integrated into the data model.
Inspect Python Script and DAX Queries: Since you're extracting the data using a Python script and DAX, review these to ensure they are correctly configured to pull data for all capacities. It's possible that the script or queries need to be updated to include the new capacity in the extraction process.

Hi @v-binbinyu-msft
Thanks for your reply.
Can you elaborate on the Reviewing Capacity Metrics App Configuration part?
How do I double check the configuration settings?
Could you tell me where I can find the configuration settings and where I can see which all capacities are being tracked?
Thanks again.
