Cannot pin shape map

Is not possible to pin a shape map because it is still in preview?

Hi @asocorro,

Do you use custom map when creating shape map in Power BI Desktop? Based on my test, when I use built-in maps to create a shape map visual, I can successfully pin the shape map to dashboard as follows.



However, when I use custom map, I get the following error message when I pin the shape map to dashboard. But I am able to pin live page of the shape map to dashboard.

Hi there,

I don't have a solution for you but wanted to add to this thread.  I can pin a shape map visual to a dashboard but then it disappears after a whlie and I have to re-pin it.  So, every time I pin the visual, it stays for a while on the dashboard and then disappears.  And it's very slow as well.  Strange behaviour.  Could be related to the file size of the topojson so I'm testing with different datasets.
