Cannot load model error

Hi,

I encountered the below error upon checking why my report was not refreshed in Power BI Service. Will you be able to help me in resolving this issue? Thanks.

Cannot load model
Couldn't load the model schema associated with this report. Make sure you have a connection to the server, and try again.

By any chance are you using any custom visuals? We had the same error, which turned out to be because of some old custom visuals in the file. The visuals were not being used, however were added to the pbix visualization pane. Worth checking.

Please check with server downtime at the time of refresh and was there any server outage.

If it is a azure database check whether it was paused.
