Can't pin slicer from PBI service report to PBI service dashboard (for mobile optimized dashboard)

Hi,

I'm trying to add a slicer from Power BI Service from a workspace report to a workspace dashboard which is mobile optimzed.

The 'pin' icon is not available to select.

Please advise.

Hi there, you currently cannot pin a Slicer to a dashboard.

This is because a dashboard is set of high level information that can give a quick overview for someone to have a look at, at a glance.

If the user wants more details or information then they have to go from the Dashboard to the report. Where they can then use the slicers.

An alternative is to pin the live page to a dashboard, but on a mobile device it will be quite hard to navigate, but it can be done.
