Can't find any release date or news on the new metrics layer in the service

Power BI September 2024 Feature Summary | Microsoft Power BI Blog | Microsoft Power BI

 

The post above mentions it's in public review however I can't find it anywhere nor is there any recent news on it. Does anyone have access or more information on this feature?
