Snowflake does not appear as an option when adding a dataset to my workspace (pro trial). I only have four options:
Azure SQL Database
Azure SQL Data Warehouse
SSAS
Spark Azure HDInsight
I thought I would have a *lot* of options here. I also looked for it in apps and couldn't find it. Everything I search for sends me to an article on PowerBI Desktop (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-connect-snowflake) which doesn't seem applicable.
How can I connect PowerBI.com to Snowflake, or is PowerBI Desktop my only option for running reports using Snowflake?

Hi @Anonymous ,
Before connect to Snowflake in power bi service, you should contact your tenant administrator to enable 'Snowflake SSO' in Admin portal first:
If you're interested in configuring AAD integration, as well as optionally enabling SSO:
Please refer this document: Connecting to Snowflake in Power BI Service
In addition, when using the way like your mentioned to connect to dataset in power bi service, it will remind you to download power bi desktop to connect in it except SSAS. So we suggest you have better use power bi desktop to connect to datasets to create reports and publish to power bi service to browse.

Yingjie Li
