Can I a auto incremental refresh only on one table?

Hi

I want to ask if I have 4 tables. The fourth table sales which I want to refresh every day but on this table the remaining table says the same according to the flag I have applied to stop the data until the fixed date. It it possible? If yes, how can I do it?

Hi, @samgamer3000

Yes, it is possible to set up an auto incremental refresh only on one table in Power BI while keeping the other tables unchanged according to a specified flag or date.

  1. Define Parameters: Create parameters in Power BI Desktop to define the time range for the incremental refresh, such as RangeStart and RangeEnd.
  2. Configure Incremental Refresh: Go to the table you want to refresh incrementally, and set up the incremental refresh policy using the parameters you defined. This will allow you to refresh only the data that has changed within the specified time range.
  3. Apply to One Table: Apply the incremental refresh policy only to the sales table that you want to refresh daily. Make sure that the other tables do not have any refresh policy applied, or their policies are set to retain the data until the fixed date as per your requirement.
  4. Publish and Schedule: After configuring the incremental refresh in Power BI Desktop, publish the report to the Power BI service. Then, schedule the refresh to occur daily.
