Starting about 12 hours ago, all my service refreshes started failing with the following error on the power bi service:
DataSource.Error: ODBC: ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][BigQuery] (100) Error interacting with REST API: Timeout was reached. Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ErrorCode = 10478. DataSourceKind = GoogleBigQuery. DataSourcePath = GoogleBigQuery. OdbcErrors = #table({"SQLState", "NativeError", "Message"}, {}). . The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface.
This is happening for all my datasets, including small ones that only took three minutes to refresh when they were working. The error appears after about 15 minutes. I am not in a premium capacity.
The reports still refresh fine on Desktop. No changes have been made by my org on BigQuery. I tried switching my BigQuery project to expect Legacy SQL, since that was a change that BigQuery made recently (but was supposed to take effect the 1st, so shouldn't be the issue).
How can I get my datasets to start refreshing again?
Solved! Go to Solution.
My issue is resolved. Apart from sending messages and opening a ticket with Power BI Support, I didn’t take any additional action.
All reports are updating correctly now - the problem is fixed on my end.
I’m experiencing the same issue. About 12–14 hours ago, all reports started throwing an update error when refreshing data from BigQuery in the cloud, while everything updates locally without any problems.
ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][BigQuery] (100) Error interacting with REST API: Timeout was reached. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface.
Has anyone else encountered a similar situation?

Same for me.
I'm having the exact same issue in service and it also started within the last day. Some refreshes seem ok in desktop, but I'm also getting a permission error in desktop and DataSource.Error: ADBC: An error occurred but no ADBC error information was available.
My cluser URI is WABI-US-NORTH-CENTRAL-B-redirect.analysis.windows.net. Any chance yours is the same?
Same issue, all the reports using Google Cloud are failed to refresh since this morning (EU). Cluster WABI-US-NORTH-CENTRAL-G-PRIMARY-redirect.analysis.windows.net
Mine is WABI-US-NORTH-CENTRAL-G-PRIMARY-redirect.analysis.windows.net
Hi @lizzy ,
If it DID work and it does not now - or at least the amount of time changed. I would confirm that nobody made a change in your firewalls or network. Or, do you (or somebody else) have a large query that is just stuck and that is affecting everything else? Or, do you have a "data limit" on your BigQuery contract that you have reached? Or, to that point - do you have one query that is maxing everything out and then it all just stops?
or, what about your Gateway - is it overwhelmed?

Hi @collinq, there seems to be a number of us experiencing this issue using clusters in the North Central US (see the other thread in this post). Is there any way we can escalate this to an employee?
hey @lizzy ,
If you go to this link: Microsoft Fabric Support and Status | Microsoft Fabric and then select "submit ticket".

I have checked all of these and everything looks fine.
