I realize this is very basic but I just wanted to make sure I am not missing something.
I have published a dataset to the Power BI Service and now I need to add a few new measures. Is it best practices to download the pbix file, change it with Power BI Desktop and then publish it and overwrite the existing DataSet?
Is there any way to directly edit the dataset directly in the Service?
Also, are there any best practices for versioning your dataset?
Thanks!!

@Anonymous ,
If the modification is simple you can click "Edit Report" to change visuals, formats and simple operations. But if you need to modify the data model or modify measures, you should donwload the pbix and then republish after modified. In addtion, power bi dataflow support create data model directly in power bi service, but the initial model should be created in dataflow, please refer to: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-dataflows-overview
Currently, there's no such feature which can allow user to mark different version of dataset. You can submit your idea here: https://ideas.powerbi.com
