Hi All,
I am trying to extract a list of Data Activator Reflex items available across different Workspaces, but I am unable to find any solution.
Is their any way we can extract the details automatically?
Your help will be highly appreciated!!!
Thanks

Hi @MahammadJafar27 ,
Automatically extracting a list of Data Activator Reflex items across different Power BI Workspaces is not currently supported through a direct API endpoint, but it can be achieved using Power BI REST APIs combined with automation tools like Power Automate or Python scripts. The first step involves retrieving all available workspaces using the Power BI REST API, followed by querying each workspace for datasets, reports, or dataflows that may be linked to Reflex items.
Since Data Activator Reflex does not yet have a dedicated API, the best approach is to list datasets and related triggers within each workspace and analyze their configurations manually or programmatically. Automating this process using Power Automate can store results in a SharePoint list, SQL database, or Excel file, while Python scripts using requests can query the API periodically. Additionally, authentication should be handled via Azure Active Directory (AAD) Service Principals to ensure security and compliance. If Power BI introduces a dedicated Reflex API, it will further streamline this process, but for now, leveraging workspace dataset queries and monitoring event triggers remains the most effective way to track Reflex items across multiple workspaces.
Hi @MahammadJafar27 ,
Thank you reaching out in Microsoft Fabric Community,
Thanks @rohit1991 for your valuable insights.
As mentioned, there is no direct API to extract Data Activator Reflex items across workspaces. The approach of using the Power BI REST API to retrieve workspaces and related assets is a valid workaround, though Reflex-specific details would still require manual or programmatic analysis.
For better tracking, you may consider submitting a feature request in the Fabric Ideas Forum , as this can help prioritize future API enhancements. Additionally, keeping an eye on the Fabric Roadmap will provide updates on potential improvements in this area.
Let us know if you need any further guidance!
Please consider marking the helpful reply as solution to assist others with similar queries.
Thank you.
