Automatically archive data on a schedule?

We currently have a manual process of taking a cut of data each week in Excel (essentially just refreshing an OData feed) and saving these, where each filename is the date of the extract. This is a copy of the full data as even where something has not changed we need that as a record.

We then put those files in a SharePoint doc library and refresh a PBIX which does a combine binaries in that folder and lets us report on the historical data.

Is there a way to use Power BI to help automate the first part, the manual creation of the individual historical snapshots?

hi, @thisisausername

According to my knowledge, I'm afraid it couldn't achieve in Power BI for now.

Power bi is a BI tool, it is used to to prepare, present and help analyze data.

Best Regards,

Lin
