Hello,
I have a data source on Azure with limited IP access. The access is provided only to work IP addresses.
I build up a report and the refresh works fine on the desktop.
But on the Power BI services it mostly fails. We use 2 gateways, one is on Azure and another one is local (I assume it works when the local gateway is applied).
I linked the Azure Server and download the data via our local SQL Server which is installed on the local server using the enabled IP address.
Would you know how to ensure the refresh works all the time?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Thank you. In the end the easiest solution was to use the DIRECT QUERY. The report refreshes when opened by an Employee with the enabled IP address, so I removed the automatic refresh...

set up a VNet gateway instead.
