Hai, in the very nearby future we will start using Power BI. Going from on-prem to cloud.
Probably our database will be SQLServer, everything is dimensionally modelled.
Now i did some basic courses and read blogs.
Today I read blogs about dataflows and shared datasets. I think they come in handy because they speed up development and performance. I wanna dive more into this subject to see how it can help us.
The question is: are there more topics I should read about upfront to see if they fit in our situation and can help us speed up development and performance, help us in standardizing things etc.? More subjects I should think about upfront, choices to be made?
thnx
Ron

In addition to the PBI Adoption Framework @GilbertQ mentioned, I strongly recommend browsing through the Enterprise Deployment Whitepaper by Chris Webb and Melissa Coates that was renewed 2 weeks ago. It covers a lot of the content you're looking for.
The whitepapers in general are a good read, if you're looking for other things.
