Alerts not triggering/notifying
I have a dashboard with a card. There's a measure that is just a count. I set up an alert for this card, if it's greater than 0, send an alert.
I cannot get it to work. I've refreshed the data, have it set for at least once an hour. The data itself only changes once every 24 hours, but I assume if I refresh it, it will trigger the alert if its been more than an hour and the value is greater than 0 regardless if the data itself has changed.
I've tried setting the alert in the workspace and in th app but neither seem to work. I've tried using Power Automate for more options with email but that isn't working either, I suppose because I can't get the alert to trigger.
Am I missing anything? Any suggestions? I can validate the value is 1 and the trigger should fire if I refresh the datasource in Power BI every 90 minutes but it is not.

Hi TCavins ,
Please check if the setting of alert hit any of following limitations:
- Alerts only work with numeric data types.
- Alerts only work on refreshed data. They don't work on static data. Most of the samples supplied by Microsoft are static. Alerts are only send if the data changes.
- Alerts only work on streaming datasets if you build a KPI, card, or gauge report visual and then pin that visual to the dashboard.
- The ability to receive and view shared content requires a Power BI Pro or Premium license.
