Greetings, community. I have a scenario where I have different DBs that I want to link together so that queries can be performed between them. I know this is possible with Fabric Data Warehouses/Lakehouses via cross-warehouse queries, but that doesn't appear to be supported at this time in Fabric SQL.
As an example, let's say I have one DB (MasterDataDB) that contains data I want to use in another DB (ApplicationDB) that is used to support an application. Some fields from the tables in MasterDataDB should be used in ApplicationDB (see example below).
I know I can sync the data from MasterDataDB into ApplicationDB, but I was hoping to avoid that if at all possible.

Unfortunately as of today Fabric database doesnt support cross database queries nor shortcuts other than via the SQL anlaytics end point.
But there is plan for this in early 2025 as per the below thread :

Hi @arpost
Due to the lack of support for Elastic queries, performing cross-database queries in a Fabric database might be challenging. However, as you mentioned, you can achieve this in Fabric Data Warehouses. Detailed operational documentation is attached at the end, and I hope it helps.
