schedule refresh with excel data and SQL data

Hello i'm trying to setup a schedule refresh for a dsahboard that i published. my datasets are 1 excel document and 1 SQL view.

i load my excel document via the web connector and the SQL view via the SQl way now if i want to use the schedule refresh without installing a ON-Premesis i cant activate it.

if i use only the excel file or only the SQL view i can activate it does anybody know why this is and how i get this to work

there is no such thing. Did you mean "dataset" ?

You will need a gateway for the on-premise SQL source. If you attempt to merge the Excel source with the SQL source then you will also need the gateway for the Cloud Excel source.

Don't do any merges. Let the data model do the work for you.
