Some of the capabilities in the Power BI service utilize other cloud services to get things done so they are not feasable for them to port to an on-prem environment. If you have the need for specific output format one option might be to build a paginated report. It's extra work, but it might get you the output you need.

Hi again, I truly believe in what you are saying, maybe applied to features of the likes of the Composite Models, it is something I would say, yeah probably the product team at Microsoft has a reason to not release it in the onprem because of versioning challengues. Now, between us,e xtracting a matrix from a DAX query that already preaggregates data for rendering on the browser is not feasible?
Are you saying that extracting a rolled up matrix is a technical limitation in PBIRS that's solved in the cloud? That cannot be more wrong to say. I'm more convinced that they just don't want to do it.
By the way this is a very old feature. we are being punished in the report server community with key features our users need.
They just don't want to do it,I think so
biggest flaw in this thing. extremely dissapointing.
No it doesn't. This is a documented limitation Comparing Power BI Report Server and the Power BI service - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
