Hello,
I'm trying to upload one report to our server and ran into a weird issue. The report update fine on Powerbi desktop, but once on the server I get a DataFormat.Error when I try to update it. I've managed to delete some of my datasources to find which one is "problematic", but since everything is fine on the desktop version I canno't figure out the problem. Have you ever encounter this kind of problem,
Regards,
I ended up deleting all of my datasources to only keep the two problematics and notice the problem only happens when I combine both of the last sources. One was a basic 4 column/ 4 rows Excel export file, the other one is bigger and used to link some of our reports. If I copy the page I need in a new Excel file and use this one I do not get any error.
I beleive problem might be the access to the file (only read write now) or the fact that the file is an old .xls. Waiting on the file owner to change our PBI user access and/or convert the file to xlsx. I've save the file as an xlsx and it's working as well this way.
Here is exactly the error I get on the server, PowerBI Desktop updates are good
