What is the impact of updating Power BI Report Server 2020 to latest on existing reports

Hi Team,

We hare a Power BI Report Server of 2020, however when I am publishing models with tables of Import Mode as well as Direct Query Mode, automatic refresh stops of data set.

I manged to change Direct Query mode to dual mode and published and it was working. However I have read in many forums that power BI dashbaord created on latest version of Power BI desktop will not be compatible with older report server versions. So we are afraid that our dashboards , which we are creating in latest version will not work in report server. 

What is the solution, as we alreday have dashboards of older version also.

Thanks for the reply, howevver first of all I dont know version of Power BI Report Server we are using, and none of the IT teams know that. When I check in About in Web Portal, It gives:-

Service version13.0.18578.34

Client version2206.4.12175-train

So still cant find which is my report server version(its Cloud) , and then which version of Power BI Desktop should use so that my report should not give any issue.
