Using Excel work book from Share point- Advise needed

Hello,

I need an advise on this requirement.

I have an excel work book in sharepoint and I need to create a SQL table with the work book as data source. Some of the fields from the work book will be joined to an existing SQL query before use.
I intend to download the work book from share point and use it as data source. I am not sure if any change that happens on sharepoint will reflect on the local copy I want to use as data source. If I can use the local copy it solves my problem.

Your advise is needed

I was able to resolve this. I edited the Sharepoint path back to ? and including ? and tried it in both Power BI Desktop and Power BI for Excel and it worked.

I'm not entirely following, but you may want to make a scheduled Power Automate flow that sends the data from Excel to SQL so that you don't need to be downloading it every day. If you're using the Excel file directly as a PBI datasource, you can connect to it while it lives in SharePoint without downloading it as well (the downloaded copy would need to be re-exported to reflect changes, so it's better to leave it in SP).
