Unable to add report server. "Unexpected error encountered"

Whenever I try to add a Power BI Report Server in Power BI Desktop RS, I get the infuriating error "Unexpected error encountered." Has anyone run into this?

When I try and open a report directly from the server, I receive the following:

Could you please help with versions of "Power BI Desktop Optimized for RS" you are using and also kindly confirm if the pbix being opened is created on same version. This shoukd not be version specific but trying to get any mor info that we can here to assist.
