Unable to Connect PowerBi Desktop to MySql installed on Raspbery PI - 'DBNull or other types'

Hi Community,

I am trying to connect PowerBi Desktop to MySql which is installed on my Raspberry PI but it just does not work. Below are the steps I am doing:

- Select MySql in "Get Data"

- Add Server (In my case, this is 192.168.178.26)

- Add Database (In my case, this is iobroker)

The connection wizard then prompts me to enter Username and Password. 

When I click Connect, I get the following message

After clicking ok, I get the following error message. 

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue. I did extensive search on the internet but simply cannot find the solution.

Any help is highly appriciated

Hi @lbendlin , I have installed 'MySQL Connector Net 8.3.0). Hope this is what you are asking.

Downgrade to 8.0.28 or any other "well known good" version.

Tried again with 8.0.28 and 8.0.27. Same issue. By the way, I only need to install this driver on my Laptop right? Not on the Raspberry PI.

Do you get the same error when you connect to a MySQL database that is located on a different platform?

Which MySQL driver version is installed on your PC?
